Captive pin design ensures pin cannot be inadvertantly lost or dropped overboard. Recessed thread design on captive side allows for pin to be pulled completely flush in jaw opening without the need for additional unscrewing. Pin can be removed, when desired, by completely unscrewing it, as in conventional designs.
