Al's Forty Niner is a unique spoon effective for targeting walleye, trout, salmon, and other larger freshwater fish species. Jig it, troll it or cast it, you will not be disappointed. When retrieved or trolled, the lure swims on its back, and has a tight barrel-roll wobble. This action generates a lot of attracting flash, making it a very effective trolling lure. When vertically jigged, both in open water and through ice, it has a lot of flash as it flutters on the drop, and it also makes a bit of a racket, both good attention-drawing features. On the jig up, it randomly darts in whatever direction that bent nose is pointed, giving it the appeal of struggling prey.
