A heavy-duty fly reel that's relatively light on our pocket book, the Redington Behemoth Reel holds up under duress when we've hooked into a twenty pound steelhead, a big bad bonefish, or a rainbow that completely lost it when we set the hook. Built with the most powerful drag in its class, the Behemoth Series features a powerful carbon fiber drag system that can be cranked up when we need to put some serious pressure on big and stubborn fish, but it maintains a smooth feel so we won't instantly snap our line when bruiser fish run at the first sign of our net. Made primarily for big game fish and saltwater fishing, the Behemoth is also available in five- and six-weight options for trout applications, and it will balance well with longer spey rods for salmon and steelhead fishing.
